Doing laundry can seem daunting, but with a few simple tips, you can streamline the process and keep your clothes looking their best.

First, sort your laundry by color and fabric type. Separate whites, darks, and delicates to prevent color bleeding and fabric damage. Use cold water for dark colors to maintain vibrancy and hot water for whites to help remove stains.

Before washing, check pockets for items that could damage your clothes or the machine, like coins or tissues. Treat stains promptly; apply a stain remover directly to the spot and let it sit for a few minutes before washing.

When loading the washer, don’t overcrowd it. Clothes need room to move for an effective clean. Use the right amount of detergent—too much can leave residue, while too little may not clean effectively.

For drying, check care labels. Some items may be best air-dried to prevent shrinkage. Use dryer balls to help separate clothes and reduce drying time. Lastly, fold or hang clothes promptly to avoid wrinkles.

With these tips, you’ll find laundry to be a more manageable task, keeping your wardrobe fresh and clean!
